HipScaler Ltd was founded in 2006 following a research project that highlighted the immense variation in AP Pelvic X-ray magnification. The results of the study conclusively proved that X-ray magnification can be accurately predicted with the use of the simple HipScaler device.
Prototypes were developed and tested in a number of NHS Orthopaedic Departments across the UK, and following successful results, HipScaler Ltd was formed. In fact, 100% of patients tolerated the device well and 70% of Radiographers found the device fast and easy to use.
